Chef Amir Thompson
The story of Fuzeion began with Amir Thompson, a humble dishwasher at the age of 12 in a small Midwestern restaurant. Early on, Amir began learning food preparation and cooking fundamentals, and was quickly promoted to working as a kitchen cook, and at the age of 19, Amir began managing the restaurant. Amir is now an experienced chef of 27 years with his own catering business, bringing his own flavor collected throughout the years to South Florida.
Amir’s collective experience started in his early adolescence, with the influences of Japan from Japanese exchange students living in his household, to Mexican influences growing up in California, to Middle-Eastern neighbors sharing their traditional dishes. Amir’s gastronomic encounters while living in the West Coast, East Coast, Midwest, and the South have shaped his vision of the true nature of food and its connection to human culture. Amir’s contact with all manner of cuisine results in the culinary masterpiece that is Fuzeion, hence the origin of its name.
